FAQs

  • I will offer you an initial 1 hours and 15 minutes face to face consultation, which gives us the opportunity to begin to get to know each other, and for you to have a sense of how it is to work with me.

In this first meeting, I’d like to learn what it is that brings you to therapy and what you'd like to gain from it. We can explore any hopes and concerns you may have about your past, present, or future. I would be interested to hear about your family history and your current circumstances. It will be an opportunity to ask questions about me. At the end of the initial consultation, if you decide you’d like to continue, we will agree to meet for on-going sessions.

  • Sessions last for 50 minutes and are arranged at the same time and day of the week.

  • I work both face to face and online. In our initial consultation, we will discuss and agree which medium is most suitable for you.

  • Sessions will be held in the strictest confidence, subject to the ethics of my profession. Exceptions include obligations under the law and threats to harm self and others.

I am required by my professional organisation to regularly discuss my work with a supervisor, to ensure safe and ethical practice, and to maintain high standards. In these discussions I don’t reveal names or personal details.

Any personal information I hold about you (e.g. email address, phone number) is in accordance with GDPR (data protection) legislation.

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our power to choose our response. In our response lies the power to grow, to shape our destiny
